This rider is also given power to kill with the sword, which throughout the Scriptures represents war. Could this green horse be a reference to the influence of Islam to create war during the early part of the Tribulation? As stated earlier the verses following the pale horse speak about a large number of martyrs who are in heaven crying out for vengeance upon those who murdered them on earth. Later, in Revelation 20:4, it is revealed they were murdered by beheading which is a common practice among the more strict Muslims After Antichrist invades Jerusalem, he will kill two prophets of God identified as the two witnesses (Revelation 11:3). Many scholars, along with early church writers, believe these two witnesses are Elijah and Enoch, the two men who never died (see 2 Kings 2:11-12 and Hebrews 11:5). The Antichrist will become a hero in the eyes of Islam when he takes control of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. At this point, he will set himself up as God (see 2 Thessalonians 2:4).
