Muslim nations have been known to hang people for certain types of crimes. In the 1990s, an Assembly of God pastor in Iran was arrested and publicly hung. It is assumed this could be how these two witnesses are killed. In Israel, Orthodox Jews bury people the same day they die; they avoid the embalming process. I have been on the Mount of Olives when two large buses filled with Orthodox Jews would stop and people would jump off the bus and follow a truck with a corpse in the back. Within a few minutes, the final prayers were offered and the dead person was buried. The same tradition exists among Muslims. They attempt to bury the departed on the same day the person dies. The only exception is a non-Muslim who has been killed for blaspheming Islam, or a political enemy who has been executed. Years ago in Syria, an Israeli spy was hung and his body allowed to be kept in the open for several days so people could spit on him and curse the Jewish spy. It appears the same action will be taken against these two witnesses. They will be so feared and despised that upon their death, people will not permit them a normal burial.
