Understanding the Purpose and Power of Men

are, analyze them, calculate what needs to be done to solve them, make a decision (sometimes very quickly), and act on it. You cannot be affected by your environment to the point where it immobilizes you, and your feelings rule you. You cannot be controlled by your emotions. Now, while a male has emotions, he is not guided by them the way a woman often is. A woman has been made by God to integrate her emotions into everything she sees and thinks. This is not a negative trait, but rather God‘s built -in gift that enables her to empathize with others and to bring God‘s co mpassion and mercy to situations. A leader often cannot be ruled by emotion or sentiment, especially when he has to make difficult decisions. That is led by his thinking. Because of this trait, women can get the impression that men are cold. They‘re not cold; they‘re just not influenced as much by their emotions. Think of Moses and the Israelites standing on the out skirts of the Red Sea with Pharaoh and his army approach ing to destroy t hem. I can imagine Moses‘ sister, Miriam, having an emotional reaction and saying, ―Ahhhh! God, do something!‖ But Moses is coolheaded. The Bible says Moses stood up and said, “The L ORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace” (Exod. 14:14 NKJV ). He was essentially say ing, ―Be at peace; I promise you‘ll be all right,‖ while at the same time Pharaoh was coming after them with thousands of his soldiers. The Israelites had no way of escape: the sea was in front of them; the Egyptians were behind them. Yet in the midst of this situation, we see this cool, collected, calm male. His calmness caused all the Israelites to quiet down, also. They knew Moses had never lied before. When he said something, it happened. A male has emotions, but is not ruled by them. why God designed a male differently from a female. The male is not emo tional, even though he has emotions. He feels a great deal, but because of his purpose, his feelings are generally not his principle consideration. He‘s
