The souls of the poor and needy He shall save Men shall pray before him continually Men shall bless him all day long There shall be an abundance of grain and fruit His name shall continue as long as the sun and men shall bless him Any nation that does not come up to worship there will experience a drought (Zech. 14:16-19) In Jer. 30:9, King David will be the prince of Israel and also rule from Jerusalem In Ezek. 34:23-24, David will be the king over the people of Israel (Ezek. 37:21-25)
Note: Christ will be King over the earth and David will be king over Jerusalem (Ezek. 37:24-25)
D. The saints will be ruling with Christ during the 1000 years
1. Both the Old and New Testament saints will rule
a. The saints from Abel to the thief on the cross b. The saints from Christ ’s resurrection until the coming of Christ for the church c. Those who died during the tribulation will be raised to rule with Christ for a thousand years
Note: There is also a remnant of humans that survived the tribulation
2. The twelve apostles will serve as judges during the millennial
a. Christ promised his apostles to sit on thrones and judge Israel (Matt. 19:28) b. There will be special princes appointed to serve as judges (Isa. 1:26) c. The saints will also be kings and priests and rule with Christ (Rev. 1:6)
E. Jerusalem will be the center of all worship
1. All nations will come at the Feast of Tabernacles (Zech 14:18-19)
a. Isa. 56:6-8 b. Zech 14:16 c. Micah 4:1-2 d. Ezekiel 20:10-11
2. There will be sacrifices in the New Temple (Ezek. 44-47)
a. The sacrifices in the Old Covenant were for the five different types of offerings b. In the Millennial Temple sacrifices will be restored; this has caused confusion c. These will be used as visible gifts and offerings for those who have survived the tribulation d. The offerings will be used to feed the thousands of priests called sons of Zadok (Ezek. 40:46)
F. There will be a new division in the land during the Millennial
1. The twelve tribes will get their original and expanded land grants
a. Abraham’s seed inherits the land from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates (Gen. 15:12 -21)
