D. What could cause massive deaths?

1. This is death by an asteroid:

a. The word great in Greek means, “exceeding ly great, large, loud and mighty.” b. The word star in Greek is astare (a star) burning like a lamp (the tail is glowing behind it) c. The word astare in Greek is stronomee from the word “ astronomy ” d. The word lamp is the Greek word for describing the tail of the asteroid

Key: This star will strike the earth, thus fulfilling many of the judgments (falling stars)

2. Stars will be affected in the tribulation

a. Mark 13:24-25 b. Isa. 13:10 c. Isa. 13:13

Note: All of this is the impact of a major asteroid striking the earth (Rev. 6:13)

3. Documentaries have revealed:

If a sizable asteroid struck the edge of Mexico the following eight things would occur:

 A tsunami with twenty-foot high waves – moving 500 m.p.h. to America  It would wipe out everything on the coasts and then go inland for about 50 miles  All ships (e.g., cruise ships, fishing, and military) in tsunami ’s path would be destroyed  It would heat the atmosphere 280 degrees , sending metal up to reheat, then back down  The earth (land) temperature would rise from normal to as high as 700 degrees
