THE APOCALYPSE AND THE TEMPLE CODE

THE FIRST PROCEDURE IS TO BURN INCENSE

A. The priest on earth would take fire from the brass altar for the incense

1. Christ is offering all the prayers on the altar of all the saints 2. Christ is answering the prayers of the righteous to judge the earth for their blood 3. The church is in heaven and there is no more need for prayers to be answered

B. The priest on earth would offer the blood of a bull

1. Christ is the “lamb that was slain” who shed H is blood (Rev. 5:6) 2. Christ ’s blood is now in the heavenly Holy of Holies (Heb. 9:23-27)

C. The priest placed blood on the Ark of the Covenant for atonement

1. The “original” Ark is in the Temple in heaven (Rev. 11:19) 2. No man is able to go into the Temple while God is releasing certain judgments (Rev. 15:8) 3. No other priests could enter the Holy of Holies while the High Priest was in the Holies

D. The priest concluded atonement by announcing, “It is done.”

1. This decree is made by a voice out of the Temple (Rev. 16:17) 2. This decree is made at the time of the seventh angel (Rev. 16:17)

Note: O n Passover the priest offered the final lamb and announced, “ It is finished .” On Ato nement he completed the service and proclaimed , “ It is done.”

THE SEVEN TRUMPET JUDGMENTS (Revelation 8)

Main verses : Revelation 8:2, 6-8

As the judgments are being poured out, God can and will use natural disasters and cosmic activity to fulfill many of the judgments recorded in the Apocalypse.

      

The first angel

- hail and fire mingled with blood - a great mountain burning with fire - a star falls, polluting 1/3 of the rivers

- Rev. 8:7 - Rev. 8:8 - Rev. 8:10 - Rev. 9:1 - Rev. 9:14 - Rev. 10:7

The second angel The third angel The fourth angel The fifth angel The sixth angel The seventh angel

- 1/3 of the sun, moon, and stars darkened - Rev. 8:12

- the bottomless pit is opened

- fallen angels in the Euphrates are loosed - concludes the trumpet judgments

“But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” - Revelation 10:7

A. The trumpet judgments can be a combination of five things

1. Volcanic eruptions 2. Comets or asteroids

- a literal mountain burning with fire

- an asteroid striking a certain part of the earth
