Prepare-for-War

We are given a solemn warning in Isaiah:

"Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near." Isaiah 55:6

If we do not seek the Lord now, when trouble comes into our lives it will be too late. We will not have the relationship we need with the Lord to help us during our time of trouble. Don't let your natural desires stop you from ob taining the precious treasure of getting to know the Lord in the early hours of the mornings. The Lord longs to spend those quiet private moments with us at the beginning of the day. I have for years had the habit of watching the sunrises with the Lord during the summer, and the sunsets with Him during the winter. I will never forget one morning several years ago. I had spent an hour reading the Bible and praying, but the Lord did not say anything to me, neither did I particularly sense His presence. As I returned to the house to get ready for the day's work, I was startled when the Lord suddenly spoke to me and said, "I so enjoyed spending that brief moment with you, child." Even though He had not spoken to me and I had not felt His presence, He was there with me just the same. We do not stop to consider how our Lord's heart longs to have our love and fellowship.

"But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul." Deuteronomy 4:29 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews II :6

The Lord desires our communion with Him, He commands us to seek Him. But a real key in developing this personal communication with the Lord is a step in faith. We must accept as fact the Lord's promise that "he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." It takes time to
