Prepare-for-War

develop such a relationship, be persistent, be diligent. Too many people give up after a few days or even after a few weeks. Discipline yourself to seek the Lord and He will be found by you. Search the scriptures diligently looking for "keys" which will give you some insight into God's personality. Ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you through His word. One of my favorite books in the Bible is Isaiah. The Lord reveals His personality in so many ways in that book! Search it for yourself. There are a multitude of precious gems hidden throughout the scriptures. Do you know what these gems are? They are direct glimpses into the very personality of God Himselfl When the Lord does speak to you and you have checked to see that what was said is consistent with the Bible, and the Holy Spirit confirms to your heart that you did indeed hear His voice, then you must stand in faith that it is so. Other wise Satan will try to persuade you that you did not really hear from the Lord, that you were only imagining things. "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children ofGod." Romans 8:16 The Holy Spirit will speak to us if we will hear His voice. Then when we do, we must not harden our hearts, but step out in faith and obedience in accordance with what the Holy Spirit said to us. Usually the Holy Spirit starts speaking to a believer by bringing to his or her attention something that is not pleasing to the Lord. The temptation is to ignore this communication and continue doing whatever it is the Lord is not pieased with. If you do this you are "hardening your heart" and will stop further communication from the Lord. Many people get scared of talking to the Lord and hearing "Wherefore as the Holy Ghost saith, To day ifye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness." Hebrews 3:7,8
