Prepare-for-War

power wasn't his, it was the Lord's. Jesus cautioned his disciples about the same thing:

"Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven." Luke 10:20

Not only does talking to demons lead to pride, it also can lead to many serious errors. Too many times deliverance workers command demons to tell them how they got into the person. What use is this? The demons will always lie, they will be most careful to try to keep the deliverance worker from finding out how they really got in. I have had some pastors tell me that they can command the demons to come before the throne of God. They do this because they think the demons cannot lie before God's throne. Again, they cannot back this belief up with scripture. Revelation 12 tells us that Satan himself stands before God and falsely accuses God's people. If Satan himself stands before God's throne and lies, why should we think the demons would do anything differently? If we want information about how the demons came in, or who they are, etc., we must get it from the Holy Spirit. I repeat, all demons are liars! Next is the issue of demonic manifestation. Again, I cannot find any scripture telling me that Jesus ever commanded a demon to manifest. He always commanded them to be quiet and leave. I find that most deliverance workers command demons to manifest because that is the only way they feel they can know that they have left. This is an error. Once you command a demon to manifest, you have given it permission to do whatever. it wants to do. Don't think they can't fake you out and make you think they have come out by making the person to cough, etc, they most certainly can! Only the Holy Spirit knows when they are gone. Only He can tell you if a demon has come out or not. If you rely on physical symptoms, then you will quickly fall into error.
