Prepare-for-War

had gained control of them. At first she could not read more than a few words from the Bible without having to stop and rebuke the demons. They tried to control her arms and hands and feet. Once she had learned to stop them in that area, they tried to control her voice. The struggle was intense, but with patient coaching, Martha finally learned that she could control them. Once Martha began to gain a victory in controlling her body and voice, I then had her turn to Revelation Chapter 18. I asked her to read out loud from that point to the end of the book. Every time she felt a demon trying to take over con trol of her body, mind, or voice, she was to stop and com mand it to leave her at once in the name of Jesus Christ. The battle was on! Over and over again the demons tried to stop Martha, but she stood firm. By the time she reached the 21st Chapter of Revelation, her reading became smoother and easier. The demons were all gone by the time she reached the last chapter. We all rejoiced and praised the Lord as Martha read the last chapter of Revelation easily and freely, clear at last from the demonic torment. The key in Martha's case was passivity. She did not think she could control the demons because they knocked her unconscious. However, with coaching and prayer asking the Holy Spirit to make her aware when the demons first started to knock her out, she finally learned to recognize their tactics and stop them with the power in the name of Jesus. As soon as she learned this, they had to leave! Many people will tell you that they cannot control or stop the demons because they knock them unconscious. This is because they have allowed their minds to be passive. The Holy Spirit will help them regain control of their minds so that they will recognize the demon's activity the instant it starts. This is a real key, not only to kicking the demons out in the first place, but in keeping them out.
