Prepare-for-War

written down in a notebook which I did not open. I did not feel it was necessary for the pastor to know my requests. He agreed to pray with me and simply be a witness to the covenant. I prayed first, then the pastor prayed one of the most incredible prayers I have ever heard. In the power of the Holy Spirit he listed every one of the requests I had writ ten down in the closed notebook and asked the Lord to ful fill them in my life! As always, the Lord has remained faith ful to His covenant. Not only did I survive the confrontation with the high demon (which took place some weeks later), but the promises the Lord made to me in that covenant are still operational in my life today, several years later. The simple knowledge that God always keeps His word has given me the security and strength to fight in the terri ble war with Satan which has continued without a break throughout the past seven years of my life. One of the most recent covenants I made with the Lord was at the time He called me to move out here to California. (California is one of the last places on the face of this earth I wanted to go, I might add.) I am not at liberty to reveal all the terms of that covenant, but here are some of them. I was to move to California and walk here in complete obedience to the Lord. I was also to understand that I would eventually lay down my life out here for the Lord. He, in turn, would provide for our needs (not our wants), protect us (until the time came for us to lay down our lives), and open those doors for our ministry He wanted to open and close the ones He wanted to close. Remember, God never deals with any two people in an identical manner. Each one of us is so precious to Him as an individual that He treats us as such. However, once you are aware of this principle of covenanting with the Lord, He will be free to bring His desire for specific covenants to your attention.
