need to clean out their lives, they should not forget to also clean out their children ai:ld close the doorway of inheritance. It is usually better if you can find a Christian brother or sister whom you can trust, to pray with you as you com mand the demons to come out of you. But, if this is not possible, simply stand in faith, and the Lord will help you. If the demons have been dwelling in you for a prolonged period of time, they will not come out easily. If you still have active sin in your life, they won't come out at all. You may have a real battle on your hands, but don't give up. Be persistent. You can now make their lives miserable even as they have made your life miserable. You must speak to them out loud as they cannot read your mind. Saturate your life with God's word. Read aloud from the Bible, memorize and quote scripture verses, sing songs of praise to the Lord whenever you can. I recommend that people obtain a cassette player and play scripture tapes during those times when they cannot sit down to read the Bible. Often it is helpful to play the tapes throughout the night. Rebuke the demons constantly and demand that they leave. Clean out your home and your life! You must stop sinning. You will always be vulnerable to sin, but you must stop all active sinning. If you simply ask, the Holy Spirit will reveal your sins to you. If you are living in adultery, you cannot hope to kick out any demons until you have either married or severed the relationship. I am con stantly amazed by the numbers of professing Christians who are living in adulterous relationships, completely ignor ing all the specific scriptures against this sin, justifying their sin in their own eyes. You may succeed in deceiving yourself, but you won't deceive the Lord or the demons. Remember, you may be successful in hiding your sins from other people, but you cannot hide them from either the Lord or from Satan and the demons!
