Prepare-for-War

person who does not receive a miraculous healing if the miracle doesn't occur when the minister prays for them. Of course, such reasoning always makes the "minister" look good, placing the blame on the unfortunate person with the problem. Many times miracles do occur, but again, we must always be testing and proving everything. Jesus said:

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:21-23

Quite obviously, a miracle is not necessarily from God just because somebody says they are performing a miracle in Jesus' name. We must be much in prayer and continually on our faces before the Lord in these matters. Our greatest safeguard is found in the Lord's prayer, "Father, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Tongues This is probably the area where Satan has had the greatest success in our day. Christians have made the terrible mis take of assuming that ALL tongues are from God. How wrong they are! The example given of Lea earlier in this chapter is ample proof of that. It is well known that many occultic rituals an~ done in tongues. People involved in TM and many other forms of Eastern meditation speak in tongues. And, a very large number of Christians, falling under peer pressure, simply memorize several phrases which they repeat over and over again in various combinations, thinking that they are then speaking in tongues.

"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:4
