Therefore, I ask the reader to exercise caution when understanding the time frame of 2001 to 2008. 1 believe this time frame relates to the fullness of the true Gentile church and its assignment of reaching the nations with the Gospel. It does not speak of the end of the Gentile powers (nations) that will invade Jerusalem. Remember that during the final half of the tribulation, the future antichrist will take control of Jerusalem for forty-two months (Revelation 11:2). It is important to understand that America is not directly identified in prophecy, but appears to be identified indirectly when you compare the patterns, cycles, and Hebraic symbolism. Only time itself will reveal how accurate the time frame of 1967-1968 to 2007-2008 will be as it relates to the fullness of the church age. I am sharing this with you so that nobody can say that Perry Stone believes things will "end" on 2008. I certainly do not. We will have another presidential election and the nations of the world will continue to form in the manner predicted by the Hebrew prophets. The number forty-three should serve as a sign to get our attention, so we will notice the many prophetic events now unfolding before our eyes! The Final Assignment As mentioned in the book, the true church has an assignment to reach the nations with the Gospel of Christ (Matthew 24:14). The true church consists of all believers who have a born again experience with Christ and who are actively living according to the Word of God. When the assignment of reaching nations with the Gospel is complete, there will arise an end-time counterfeit religious system, identified in Revelation 17 and 18 as a woman riding on a beast. A man who is identified as a false prophet (Revelation 16:13; 19:20; 20:10) will control this system. This false system will control the area of the Middle East and Europe. It will severely persecute anyone who does not follow its rules and regulations. It will be this system that will issue a special mark for buying and selling (Revelation 13:16). At the present time, there is freedom in many nations to preach the Gospel. Yet, missionaries inform me that this is changing.
