Christianity, and they are persecuting and even murdering many Christians. The spread of radical Islam is making it extremely difficult in many areas. In India, the Hindu religion is beginning to rise up against Christianity. We can see the time when those who believe Jesus is the only way to salvation will be persecuted, as leaders will attempt to silence their voices by passing laws and jailing the dissidents. The book of Revelation describes a large number of believers who are martyred for their faith in Christ (Revelation 6:9). When the true church has completed her assignment, then the false church system will dominate the world scene, with the help of ten kings who will rule over ten major kingdoms in the future (Daniel 7:24; Revelation 17:12). It is interesting to see the emphasis being placed on a global government and a global economy. The next phase will be a global religious system. Let the reader be aware that this future system will deny the truths of the Scripture in order to have many world religions join as one unit. But also be encouraged that the true believers will be those who will rule and reign with Christ! Again, it is impossible to know the exact time frame for many of these events, but we are able to discern the signs of the times and we are not in darkness in our understanding (Matthew 16:3; 1 Thessalonians 5:4).
