Plucking the Eagle's Wings

Cursed in the Midst of Prosperity

themselves and pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14) Turning from your wicked ways requires repentance. Repenting in Biblical terms means more than apologizing. It requires a turning away from wrong and a turning toward that which is good. Criminals can say that they are sorry for their crimes, when in reality they are sorry they were caught. True repentance happens when you say, "I am sorry and will not do it again. I will do what is right." When America is in trouble, we know how to pray. The Gulf War was a prime example of that, but America has forgotten how to repent. The clock is ticking and time is passing by. This American vineyard has a predetermined amount of time in which to bring in the harvest and finish its task. That time may be coming to a climax, as the patterns of the American presidents may indicate.
