answer to both of my questions—“Why was the pilot so calm?” and “How could Jesus sleep during a storm?” We stepped off the plane, and Pam said, “That was terrible! It was dangerous! Did you see all that lightning? What if it had hit the plane?” Kevin, the pilot, replied, “That really wasn’t anything. Because we flew low, we were in the clouds the entire trip. The lightning was more than one hundred miles away and nowhere near us. But because the clouds carry the light, it made it appear it was much worse than it was. It may have been a level 2, which is nothing to be concerned about. I would have never taken the flight if I thought it would be any risk to any of us.” My wife said, “Thanks for telling us now!” That’s when I discovered the secret of sleeping in a storm. It is not being ignorant of the dangers of storms, but the secret is knowing something that others don’t. The key is having divine revelation about your situation that others may not be aware of. W HY Y OU C AN’T C HANGE Y OUR S ITUATION When you are in a serious bondage or crisis, you need a revelation to change your situation. Often the circumstances may outweigh your faith, and you can center more on the storm than on the One who calms the storm. The weapon that will bring you through is an inner knowing that cannot be altered by circumstances. This is why Jesus could sleep when the
