are like precious pictures that capture a moment in time on photo paper. From time to time we pull out numerous albums and laugh when we see how much we changed over the years. My wife always tells me I am much better-looking now, so needless to say, I love pulling those pictures out to remind her how blessed she is (bear with me in my folly)! God can see when we are sad, lonely, or despondent. At times we may see a husband, wife, or a child in a dream who is now with Christ, and the wonderful memories resurface, bringing us joy and recharging all of the fun family memories that we keep hidden in our spirits. 3. To give you hope for the resurrection One of the greatest comforts for a believer in Christ is the hope of the resurrection. This is the exciting hope that a believer has that when the dead in Christ are raised, we will be reunited with our dear friends and loved ones. This is perhaps the reason why, after many years, it seems as though my precious grandparents are still living—because they are in the paradise of God in heaven, where their spirits are waiting for the resurrection of the dead! When we see them in a dream, we are reminded that one day the dream will become a reality at the return of Christ. We will see them again. Martha understood this when she reminded Christ that at the resurrection she would see her brother, Lazarus, again (John 11). 4.
