The next day he came home, saw the new pack, opened them, and took a smoke. He began coughing violently. He put that one out and lit up a second, with the same effect. He yelled, “What’s wrong with the cigarettes? They are terrible!” After lighting a third, he suddenly ran outside coughing. She found him rolling on the grass trying to breathe! She was frightened until he said, “Man, these cigarettes are terrible. They’re bitter!” She laughed and told him what she had done. He went to smoke another one to prove it was a fluke , and it was bitter. So were the next few he tried. He decided to attend the revival to see the young preacher who could curse a pack of cigarettes, and he was touched by the Lord that night and set free! While this is a rare and unusual story, a person’s faith can certainly bring deliverance in every area of their lives, as it is the will of God for the Son to set you free (John 8:36). In our early ministry when smokers desired to quit, we would pray that they would become sick of the smoke. I received reports that this began to occur in believers who sincerely desired to stop. Thus, prayer is very significant and a powerful weapon for this struggle. Continual smoking is a habit, and it will eventually cause you and even those living with you serious health problems. I believe it is the will of the Lord to give you a long life and to remove from your life any habit that could reduce the number of your days. As a believer, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and God desires His temple to remain clear from impurities. We agree with you that God will bring an anointing
