193 When confessing sins, the person should confess every sin he can think of. But he needs to command demons to leave only when confessing those sins that allowed demons to come into him. (See Appendix A) I believe that a specific listing and confession of sins as I am advocating is one way of fulfilling James 5:16
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16
Sins were committed one-by-one. They should be confessed one-by-one as much as possible. As a person repents for his sins and asks the Lord to forgive and cleanse him, he takes away any legal ground the demons have to cling to. That is why deliverance done in this manner is so much quicker and easier. It took ten hours to completely deliver Elaine. Since the Lord taught me this approach to deliverance, I can now help someone as deeply infested with demons as Elaine was to a complete deliverance in a couple of hours. Ifyou do not feel a person is truly repentant for his sins, then do not go any further. Wait for the Holy Spirit to bring con viction into their lives. This may take days, weeks, months or years. Again, you must be very sensitive to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in each case. STEP 3: Command the demons that came in through "temple-defiling sins”to get out of you forever. Many people ask why they, themselves, should command the demons out when Jesus clearly commanded the demons to leave people. I believe it is because we have the Holy Spirit available to us now. The Holy Spirit was NOT avail able to people during the time Jesus walked and taught on this earth. After Jesus ascended to the Father and left this earth, we entered into a whole new dispensation.
