Unleashing the Beast
82 / U NLEASHING THE B EAST
Antichrist, pointing people to worship the first Beast (the Antichrist). T HE R OLE OF THE F ALSE P ROPHET And l beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live (Revelation 13:11-14). While our main subject in this book is the future Anti Christ, this is a good time to point out that he will have a teammate who is identified with the symbolism of a lamb with two horns. Later in Revelation he is called "the false prophet" (Revelation 16:13). The Book of Revelation indicates this false prophet will team up with the Antichrist after he tramples the city of Jerusalem. Some scholars have taught that this false prophet will be accepted by many as Jesus. Several counterfeit miracles, such as calling fire
