The Jews call Uzayr a son of God, and the Christians call Christ the Son of God. That is a saying from their mouths; (in this) they imitate what the unbelievers of old use to say. Allah's curse be upon them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! (Sura 9:30). A strong emphasis of Islam is that "God is not begotten neither does he begat." A Muslim will deny that God has a son, or that He would ever have a son. The Koran puts a curse upon anyone who would confess such: "Allah's curse be upon them" (Sura 9:30). This is the strongest difference between a Muslim and a true Christian. In order to experience redemption from sin, true Christians believe Jesus is the Son of God (Colossians 2:9; Romans 1:3-4; Hebrews 1:2-3). In the Koran, Jesus is called Issa ibn Maryam , meaning "Jesus Son of Mary" (Sura V:19, 75, 81, 113). One Muslim pointed out that there are about 34 direct or indirect references to Mary in the Koran. The Book of Revelation teaches that the beast will be worshiped by much of the world. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8).
