the years as a result of abortion. This is especially true in light of what has happened since it was legalized by Roe vs. Wade in 1973. Years ago on a tour to the Holy Land, I visited the ancient site of Jericho. While the tour group looked upon the heap of stones that used to be a city, our guide, Gideon Shor, said that within the crumbled walls of the ancient city, the remains of infant children had been found. He didn't mean that these infants had been buried beneath the collapse. He meant that the remains had been found within the bricks themselves. In essence, the Canaanites had literally built the walls of their cities with the bones of children sacrificed to pagan gods. When God caused the walls to fall, it was if to say, He would not allow a civilization to stand that would do that to children. Just think of it—in one day the ancient walls and presumably towers of Jericho fell flat, destroying all those who had looked to those walls as complete security. On September 11, was God sending a message to this nation that to kill over 40 million innocent babies since January 1973 (according to National Right To Life statistics) under the guise of women's rights merits severe consequences? Furthermore, the argument could be made that to those who perform abortions, it is not an issue of pro-life or pro-choice; it is strictly a matter of money, a matter of economic stability. Unfortunately for America, it is the potential economic effect that decides many of the moral issues that trouble us in America today. Thus, those towers were not only a symbol of our
