never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained. Mr. Washington not only confirms that the founders acknowledged the United States as being founded providentially. He also warned future generations that should we disregard what God ordains, then those blessings we hold so dear—liberty, abundance and so forth —may one day cease to be available to us. September 11 could be a dramatic indication that this possibility may already be upon us. Did God allow those towers to fall so that His people would be directed to Isaiah 30 and learn from its lessons? I noted that the same blessings promised to Israel are the same blessings experienced in America, but the same curses that were released for Israel's sins are also the same problems that America is beginning to experience. This is because both nations, Israel and America, are founded and built upon a spiritual covenant with God, and the Bible is the source of their moral laws and the foundation of both nation's spiritual constitutions.
