He gave me some startling information that he had observed first hand while living in the Persian Gulf area. Years ago, his father had been hired by a wealthy sheik to construct buildings in the country. I was stunned when he told me that about 80 percent of the men in this particular Islamic nation were bi-sexual or had been involved at some time in homosexual activity (men with boys). He said the women were completely covered from head to toe and only their eyes were visible. This bred a lack of natural affection toward women and caused young men to engage in sexual activity with young boys. Since there was no physical contact with women permitted, he believed this only added to the problem. He then informed me that one of the highest ranking leaders of the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization) was a homosexual, and for years he had asked one of his friends to bring him young boys to have sexual relations with. Only in his later years did this PLO leader marry a woman in order to have a child to carry on his name.
