The future Beast will use his own stash of weapons to institute his own form of justice on surrounding nations. No one will be successful in conquering him or stopping his progress of taking possession of nations. This is why Daniel identified this Beast as "dreadful and terrible" (Daniel 7:19). Daniel said this man would use peace to destroy many. Through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shaft destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand (Daniel 8:25). How could people be destroyed through peace? The word craft means "deceit and fraud". Daniel is saying that through the Antichrist's knowledge, he will be successful with deceit and fraud. This deceit will be linked to his so called peace agreements that will eventually be broken. A passage in Daniel 11:27, paints a picture of his deception while negotiating: And both these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed (Daniel 11:27).
