I SRAEL W ILL S TAND A LONE Israel will win this conflict and defeat many of the surrounding Arab and Islamic nations. In the light of recent events, there may be three reasons why America is not directly involved with this conflict: 1. America is involved in her own military conflict 2. America has been worn down both economically and militarily 3. America has turned away from Israel Within days of the terrorist attack on America, airlines were talking about laying off up to 150,000 people. Hotels were half-filled and popular tourist attractions were pulling in a fraction of their normal traffic. Over 3,000 souls went into eternity, unexpectedly, on September 11, 2001. America entered a military conflict against an enemy that is like a spider in a rain forest. With hundreds of terrorist cells and thousands of Islamic terrorists in the world, America may see a conflict similar to what Israel has experienced in the Middle East. While we may eventually be secure all our own borders, Americans and Christians living outside of the Western Hemisphere will be walking targets, especially in nations that permit extreme Islamic fundamentalism. It is clear that the aftermath of terrorism does more damage than the attack itself. The fear, depression and economic woes that follow a major assault inflict a greater national burden than a war fought on foreign soil. America could stretch out her troops around the world and not be
