Indonesia warning of the Jews' desire to remove the Muslim mosque and build a Jewish Temple. In the Fall of 2001, Arafat again warned of the desire of the Jews to rebuild the Temple on the Temple Mount. In late 1999, the Islamic Waqf (the revenue agency of mosques in Islamic law) had begun to remove more than 6,000 tons of dirt from underneath an area of the Temple Mount known as Solomon's Stables. The Waqf stated that they desired to make an emergency exit from the underground chamber. Years ago, I received permission to visit the area located at the southeastern area of the Temple Mount—where the pinnacle of the Temple is located. A large underground room is beneath this area. I was taken aside where a gentleman took an iron bar and hit the floor. It was hollow. He said, "There are many secret chambers underground. We do not know what is underneath this floor." Muslims granted permission for the entire area to be cleared. It was reported that they want to place an underground mosque in the area. The tons of debris removed erased every trace of Hebrew history in that area. This work may have produced a bulge in the southern wall of the Temple Mount.
