I believe that one of the reasons God took the woman from the man‘s side, or rib, is to emphasize her nature. The word rib means ―sustainer‖ or ―supporter.‖ That‘s what the rib does. I would like to say a special word here to the women reading this book. God said it wasn‘t good for the man to be alone, so He created the woman. You are good for a man. One of the ways you can be good to him is to show him re spect as the leader in the home. Sometimes a husband will say, ―I think we should do this,‖ and right away his wife will show him she doesn‘t trust him. She‘ll say, ―Do what? You‘ve never done anything right yet!‖ She just wiped out the man‘s ego. What she can say if she isn‘t sure about his idea is, ―Well, let‘s try it that way, then.‖ When she says, ―try,‖ he hears ―trust.‖ ―Let‘s try it‖ means she‘s going to trust him in this undertaking. Then, if he messes up, she can say, ―We all mess up.‖ A woman can protect her husband‘s face, realizing that she also makes mistakes. Feed your husband‘s need for leadership respect. No matter what he does, just keep feeding it. When you get it to the point where it is strong and effective, then it will be come a great blessing to both of you. He will learn to lead because he will know that you support him. What a Woman Can Do
