and engage the enemy. The more seriously wounded, however, must be carried out of the battle on the shoulders of other soldiers and placed on cots or in a helicopter. In the heat of a battle, when one soldier is wounded, if there is not proper medical help at that moment, it is possible that two other soldiers must assist in carrying the wounded one, which can remove two other fighters from the focus of the battle. If a fellow Christian soldier falls away, back into the world or into sin, it always has an impact upon those who are closest to that person and can draw others out of their own present assignments as they go after the one who has fallen. Other warriors of the faith should determine not to allow a fellow believer to fall away and to be taken captive at the will of Satan (2 Tim. 2:26). Jesus taught that a good shepherd will leave the ninety-nine and go after the one stray sheep (Matt. 18:12). GREAT TRIUMPH IN THE VICTORIES The ancients were known for huge victory celebrations when a war victory was won! Through Christ’s death and resurrection, we read where He “disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it” (Col. 2:15). When Christ returns to earth to reign as King for a thousand years, He will arrive on a white stallion with all of the armies of heaven also following Him on white horses.
