Therefore, they should look for prospective students to qualify for the prophetic education program and eventually serve in the church’s prophetic company. 18. Protecting and Warning Leaders of Impending Spiritual Events, Assaults, and Infiltration Here the watchman functions of the company prophet are called upon. This function cannot be fulfilled if the prophets are not prayerful or studious. Watchman requirements place great demand on the company’s regular prayer gatherings and other prophetic assemblies scheduled to allow each prophet to minister, learn, counsel, and receive guidance in the position. Watching may take the form of a spontaneous prophecy, a written word, a shared vision or dream, or a Scripture revelation that speaks prophetically to the messenger during study and devotions. Occasions of the delivery of such words, once confirmed, are at the discretion of prophetic company leadership. 19. Uniting to Compel Victory and Spiritual Obedience to the Church’s Visions and Endeavors Here the intercessory functions of the prophetic company are brought into action. Regularly scheduled prayer, concentrated prayer vigils to address stubborn situations or resistant demonic forces, frequent prophecy outlets, and intense personal devotions all unite to enable the prophets of the church to relentlessly attack long-standing and new problematic areas of the church’s existence. In addition to their spiritual maneuvers, company prophets should not overlook the value of team and leader collaboration. At times, to focus all spiritual efforts, it is necessary to consult with the entire ministry to identify the issues, assess their threat, an devise the best strategy for dealing with it. 20. Maintaining Up-to-Date Journal of Company and Personal Prophetic Activities Generally a journal of prophetic activities should be kept to record the company’s prophetic activities, log the events of warfare or intercession, and its strategies. Also to be included in the journal are God’s revelations along the way and chronicles of the high features of the conflict and battles, conquests, and how they were ultimately won.
