Specific spiritual maneuvers were delegated to each person to operate by a prophetic leader whose job it was to assure the prophetics of the group met with deity’s approval. The Psalmist and the Seer Since not everyone exhibiting prophetic signs or uttering prophecy is an official prophet, the question becomes, what other type of prophetic calling does someone have on his or her life? The answer may be psalmist, if he sings his revelations and predictions frequently or rhymes them and exhibits no further prophetic conduct. Or, another type of prophet may be a seer. This is likely if he or she regularly peers into the other world, whether or not his or her observations are translated, enforced, or interpreted.
