Hosea 12:13 indicates some of the duties and actions of the church prophet. Church prophets served their leaders, mainly leaders of the kingdom and its institutions. Prophets spiritually and spherically occupy the Lord’s high places. Two main features of church prophet submission are obedience and accountability with the church leadership. Young prophets often make questionable prophets of churches. Church prophets are not to divert congregant tithes to themselves. Church leaders must allow church prophets to finance their lives. They, too, should receive salaries. The standard position of church prophets means they are to fulfill their watchman duties as the church’s perpetual lookouts.
