Jealous people are destructive people. They are also possessive people. They smother and are overly possessive of everything and everyone. Jealousy will drive man to accomplish things that are contrary to the will of God. King Saul and Nabal are two biblical examples that come to mind of how jealous people operate. (See 1 Samuel 25:1–17.) “What about God?” you may ask. “Doesn’t the Bible say that He is jealous?” While this is true, God’s jealousy, simply stated, means that God owns every thing and He does not want anyone to abuse what is His (Exod. 34:14; Deut.
