HOW TO VIEW THE BOOK OF REVELATION FROM THIS POINT FORWARD

 The world will be in chaos due to wars, famines, pestilences and cosmic judgments  The Islamic world will be forming a major coalition around the Middle East  The final dictator, the antichrist, will be a Muslim who sets his headquarters in Jerusalem  This final empire will control all buying and selling with a mark, name, or a number  This final empire will have ten kings united with the antichrist and false prophet

A. The three woes from the three angels

Main verses: Revelation 9:12-21

1. In Rev. 9:1-10 – this two hundred million man army is from the east and is possibly Islamic 2. In Rev. 9:11, 14 – this army is directed by a strong, evil demon prince loosed from the abyss 3. In Rev. 16:12 – this army makes its move when the Euphrates River dies up

Note: This could be to take over the oil and the sea lane of the oil tankers in the Gulf

B. The Mighty Angel

Main verses: Revelation 10:1-7

1. Similar imagery is found in Daniel 10:5-6; the angel is Christ

a. He has a gold belt of Uphaz (this was a region that produced very fine gold – Jer. 10:9) b. He had a body of beryl (which can have three colors – but probably a yellow gold color)

2. The angel on land and sea

a. Daniel saw two angels on either side of the river and a man on the waters of the river b. Dan. 12:5-7 (Daniel and John both write about the antichrist and the time of the end)

3. The angel is Christ

a. His face was like the sun and his feet like fire and the rainbow was over him (Dan. 10:5-6) b. The voice was as a roaring lion in the “ Day of the Lord ” (see Isa. 31:4-5; Jer. 25: 29-36)

c. This may be the sealed book and now the internal contents are opened d. The seals are broken and now the inside of the book is released to John e. John ate the book and was told he would prophesy f. Ezekiel saw a scroll with woes and was told to eat it (Ezek. 3:1-3)

Note: The little book may be a scroll of Daniel (seal till time of the end – 12:9) Why: After this, John begins to see imagery found in Daniel (horns, beast, kings) etc!
