THE APOCALYPSE AND THE TEMPLE CODE

1. Those who are condemned are cast into the lake of fire – the second death 2. The first death was dying without salvation and the second death is the lake of fire 3. Some believe these souls will be annihilated after this (but the spirit cannot die)

B. The saints and this judgment

1. The saints will judge the angels (1 Cor. 6:2-3)

a. The fallen angels are bound in chains until the judgment” (Jude 6) b. There are faithful angels – the elect angels (1 Tim 5:21) c. There must be a record of the works, deeds, and actions of the angels for us to judge them

2. Saints judge the world

a. People from the past will stand at this judgment

 Psa. 82:8  Psa. 94:2

 Matt. 11:23-24  Matt. 12:41-42

C. The sinners at this judgment

1. The men of Sodom will testify against those from Jesus ’ day 2. The men of Ninevah will testify against those from Jesus ’ day 3. The Queen of the South (Sheba) will testify against those f rom Christ’s day

The reason: at a trial there must be witnesses for or against the individual(s)

D. Why will people testify against each other?

1. God will reveal to each person why they were condemned 2. God will allow people to testify against those who were guilty

3. God will reveal to the unbeliever and atheist that He is God and Judge 4. God will allow believers to see their arch enemy condemned for eternity 5. God will show Christ ’s scars and no one will ever doubt the redemptive covenant

E. THIS VERSE IS FULFILLED

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” - Phil 2:9-11  In heaven (the saints and holy angels)  In earth (those living at the end of the tribulation)  Under the earth (sinners and fallen angels)
