Spirit of Leadership

THE SPIRIT OF LEADERSHIP out? It needs to be relit. It needs original knowledge. Until God gives a human being the original knowledge of who he is, then he is a candle without a flame. He exists, but he has no real life. He doesn’t have illumination about the way he has been designed. It says in the Psalms, “For You will light my lamp; the L ORD my God will enlighten my darkness.” In other words, God will give the original knowledge, the information, that we need, enlightening us and removing our ignorance. Jesus said, “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.” First the Creator enlightens us, and then we are to go out and influ ence others with the light that he has given us. True lead ership is manifested when one individual uses his or her flame to light the lives of many and help them discover the reservoir of hidden oil in their own lamps.
