Spirit of Leadership

THE SPIRIT OF LEADERSHIP Consequently, any other statement about the product must be seen as only commentary or opinion. To rediscover the leadership spirit, we must go back to the Originator. To recapture the spirit of leadership, we must rediscover the truth—the original information—about ourselves from the Manufacturer. In effect, the leadership spirit is the hardware and the spirit of leadership is the software. Developing the spirit of leadership means getting the original information for which our hardware was intended to work and operate. Again, the only one who has the original information of the product is the One who made it. It is interesting to note that the Hebrew concept of knowledge is “light,” which implies that ignorance is “dark ness.” Revelation is therefore considered the light of the knowledge that God the Manufacturer possesses. As a matter of fact, God the Creator himself is described in the Bible as “light...[in whom] there is no darkness.” The adver sary of God and man is commonly referred to as the “Prince of Darkness.” His power to control or rule a human spirit is generated by our ignorance. Man without the original knowledge of himself from the Manufacturer is like a lamp or a candle without a flame. The book of Proverbs tells us that “the spirit of a man is the lamp of the L ORD , searching all the inner depths of his heart.” What happens when the light of that candle goes T HE LEADERSHIP SPIRIT IS THE HARDWARE AND THE SPIRIT OF LEADERSHIP IS THE SOFTWARE .
