Prepare-for-War

Isn't the Lord amazing? You know, there tsn't another "being" in the entire universe who is so completely inter ested in every detail of your life. No other human being is interested in the details of your life, each person is most in terested in the details of his or her own life, certainly not in yours. But, the Lord is! Satan is not interested in our lives in the same way. He is interested only in bringing destruc tion and hurt. Everybody has a thought life. You are constantly thinking during every waking moment. Instead of thinking to yourself, start thinking to the Lord instead. Form the habit of talking to Him about everything. As you are talking to the Lord throughout the day, the thoughts that come into your mind building up your relationship with the Lord, leading you to a deeper love for Him and a deeper commit ment to Him, placing within you a greater desire to read His word and do His will, those thoughts do not come from you. Your "flesh" (or natural mind) will not give you such thoughts, and neither will the demons. Only the Holy Spirit will give you such thoughts.

"Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you ... But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quick· en your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." Romans8:7-11

As the Lord speaks to you in the smallest things, you are drawn closer and closer to Him. Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15) And again, He said, "When the Holy Spirit is come, He will take what is mine and show it unto you." (John 16:15) Neither Satan's kingdom nor your natural self will do either of these things. This is an assurance that these sorts of com munications are indeed from the Lord because they make
