"Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover them; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy right eousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward." Isaiah 58:6-8
Did you ever stop to wonder just how you could lay down your life for a brother or sister other than going out and stepping in front of a gun to get shot instead of him?
"This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:12-13
You know, laying down your life for someone hurts! In this warfare we will be working with people who have terrible things to reap, and we will also be in the thick of the battle as a result of taking the aggressive against Satan. Persecu tion hurts! You get very wounded emotionally as well as physically. My own health has suffered much as a result of the many sleepless nights I have spent in helping Elaine and others. I was most amused when talking to a young pastor the other day. He was crying on the phone to me. He and the members of his church had just recently begun to take ag gressive action against Satan. I had previously warned him that there would be a price to pay but he had not really lis tened to me. Our conversation went something as follows: "Rebecca, we're getting clobbered! Satan is hitting us from every angle. I just found out yesterday that the pastors of seven other churches here in our city are gathering together once a week to pray against us! How can this be?" "Didn't I tell you this battle was real? What do you expect,
