Prepare-for-War
some basic scriptural guidelines. You must depend directly upon the Holy Spirit for guidance in each case. Location for a Deliverance This is an area too often overlooked. First of all, be sure you are fighting on holy ground. Be sure you know who you are fighting with as well. Any soldier knows he will get into terrible trouble if he goes into a battle with an enemy at his back. If you are going to cast a demon out of someone, be sure you bring them to a home or church or office which you know is clean and dedicated to the Lord. If you go to their home, you must first go through the home to be sure you aren't fighting in the midst of a demonically infested house. I have seen a number of disasters when people overlooked this point. Also, if you do have to go to someone's home, watch out for their pets. I know of a pastor who went with another Christian to the home of a woman involved in witchcraft. She had gotten into a fight with another witch and was get ting the worst of the fight. She was a woman in her fifties and was experiencing severe chest pain and difficulty breathing. The pastor and his companion felt it was an emergency, so agreed to go to her house. When they arrived, they found the woman in obvious distress. As they started to rebuke and bind the demons, her little dog suddenly attacked them with an incredible ferocity, biting them badly. They had forgotten to first clear out the dog, or remove it from the room. Almost all people involved in witchcraft or the occult have placed demons within their pets. Those demons will cause the animal to attack anyone who either tries to hurt their owner, or cast demons out of the owner. Deliverance should always be done in as controlled a situa tion as possible. Be sure you know where your fellow deliverance workers st~nd with the Lord. Too many times
