link developed between the soul and spirit is a sinful one, thus it is demonically controlled. I repeat, we cannot have the severing between our soul and spirit spoken of in He brews 4:12 and still remain in control of our own spirits. God's word equates this use of visualization, generated by our own wills, with witchcraft! A leading Christian pastor who teaches the use of visualiza tion makes a remark in one of his books that "the language of the spirit is images and visions." He is right. Scripture shows this plainly. Let us look at Ezekiel. Ezekiel tells of an incident which shows the relationship between visions and the spirit world.

"Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber. And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the vi· sions ofGod to Jerusalem . .. " Ezekiel 8:2-3

Here, Ezekiel describes the communication he received through this "spirit" which we must assume was an angel. The communication was in the form of visions or visualized pictures. But please note he clearly states that these visions were of God. Ezekiel did not willfully form the pictures himself. He received the pictures from an outside source, i.e. God. Again, in this scripture Ezekiel shows us that the communi cation from the spirit world was in the form of visions, and that the visions were from God. Because God himself is Spirit, He communicates with us through our spirits. Many scripture references show us that the Lord communicates with our spirits and thus with us, through visions. "Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God unto Chaldea, to them of the captivity." Ezekielll :24
