Prepare-for-War

profanity. No slamming her head against the wall. She was in complete control of herself. The last time I talked to John about Ann, it had been almost a year and Ann was still doing great. Not once had she acted the way she did before those doorways were closed. Their marriage has been salvaged and they have drawn closer to each other than they ever dreamed possible. Simply understanding that the hurtful comments from Ann were not from her, but from the demons within her, was a big step in helping John overcome the emotional barriers he had put up between himself and Ann. It also helped Ann overcome the terrible guilt she continually suf fered as she saw what she was doing to John. Once again, the wonderful power of Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross saved the relationship between those two beau tiful people. The final chapter of that story occurred in their youngest child. Susan was three by the time I first talked with John. She had been rebellious and unmanagable almost from the day she was born. Her unruliness had done much to in crease the tension in an already battered household. Interestingly, when John took Ann into their bedroom to anoint her and command the demons to leave her, as soon as he started praying Susan ran into the room screaming and demanding their attention. The demons within her were trying everything they could to stop them from praying. After John finished praying for Ann, both of them then took Susan in their arms and anointed her and asked the Lord to sever the lines of inheritance and then commanded all demons in her to leave. She had been a completely dif ferent child since that day. Let us be continually alert and control our minds. Our enemy seeks to devour us, but he cannot do so if we stand firm in the power of our wonderful Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
