Covenanting With God
We have a wonderful God who delights in making cove nants with His people. The whole Bible is a story of God's covenants with His people. The previous chapter illustrated just one of the occasions in which God covenanted with Elaine and myself. We have a God who knows the end from the beginning. He knew Satan would petition for my life and Elaine's life, that is why He asked us to make that covenant with Him almost six months before. Satan did not know about the covenant until the day he petitioned for our lives. I have no doubt at all that if we had disobeyed God and had not made that particular covenant with Him, we would have been killed by satanists as a sacrifice for their Black Mass. Oh the unsearchable wisdom of this wonderful and great God of ours! I wish to discuss here more about this important principle. Too many Christians are unaware of God's desire to cove nant with His people and thus are not alert to hearing the Holy Spirit's guidance when God ooes wish to make a covenant with them. Let us 1ook at what God's word has to say on the subject of covenanting. The very gift of Jesus Christ is considered a "new" cove nant by God with men.
