It all goes back to the original temptation in the garden of Eden:

"And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." Genesis 3:4,5

What Satan didn't tell Eve was that the "gods" she would then be like were demons! This deceptive teaching that human beings are divine and that there is no difference be tween creature and Creator is beautifully summed up in Romans.

"Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptable God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to the uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever." Romans 1:22-25

These New Age teachings are sweeping the U.S. and rest of the free world. A large number of our top governmental leaders accept these teachings. Executives of most large corporations are involved in classes and activities pushing Hinduistic philosophies presented as scientific self-help courses. Our school systems have also been saturated with these concepts. With this in mind, we as Christians should soberly examine the attitudes of the leaders of the New Age Movement to wards Christianity. They are readily available in their own writings. Alice Bailey, one of the leading New Age writers was very vocal in her attack upon Christianity - blaming all the world's ills on Christian beliefs.
