Prayers That Bring Healing

It is not hard to see the correlation between giving honor and receiving healing. A gift is given best when it is well received. How much better does a singer or actor perform when their gift is appreciated by the audience? This is why so many Israelites died during the famine. They simply did not appreciate the gifts of Elijah and Elisha. And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year. And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulcher of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet. Elisha had enough anointing in his bones to raise a man from the dead. Imagine the anointing that was available to Israel while he was alive! Because they did not honor, respect, or receive his gifts, they did not receive the miracles they needed. Every leper in Israel needed a miracle. The Lord, in His mercy, saw the need and provided the man of God with His anointing. It was up to Israel to put a demand on it. Their needs were not met because there was no demand. There was no faith. There was no honor. If they would have honored the prophet of God, they would have been healed. The anointing was —2 Kings 13:20-21, KJV
