Prayers That Activate Blessings

this: blessing comes with covenant. God does not just bless people for any reason. Being in covenant with God is a contract or a promise of His peace, safety, favor, protection, health, and prosperity. And God does not break His promises or go back on His word (Num. 23:19; Isa. 55:11). Covenant with God is a mutual blessing. God gets a people, and we get God (Lev. 26:12). However, when God doesn't get a people, there is no need for the covenant. We cannot be God's own if we do not walk according to His covenant. He cannot claim us and put His name on us. We can pray for peace all year long, but without Jesus, who is the Prince of Peace, shalom will never come. To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace [prosperity, shalom] from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. —Romans 1:7 Notice whom the peace goes to. This peace is not to a physical people but to those "called to be saints." The saints possess the kingdom of God. Are you a saint? This goes beyond being saved. The saints are the holy ones. It doesn't mean that you are perfect or that you don't make mistakes. It means that your lifestyle is holy. You don't live a sinful lifestyle. In the New Testament, the saints walked in a level of holiness. They were not liars, drunkards, or whoremongers. They didn't mistreat people. If you are not a saint, you are not saved. The verse says, "Grace [charis, favor] and peace to those who are called to be saints." If you are a saint, prosperity belongs to you, not because of anything you did or didn't do, but because of what Jesus did for us all on Calvary. That is the blood covenant.
