17 RESTORING THE STRENGTH OF THE EAGLE

Restoring America One More Time

"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31) As mentioned before, the eagle is a symbol of liberty. Powerful wings enable eagles to soar freely and unrestrained at heights of 2,400 feet. Their strong wings even make it possible to carry other eagles to safety. And these majestic birds excel in strong winds because the turbulence facilitates higher flight. Incredible eyesight permits them to spot prey from a great distance. They mate for life as they return to the same nest on the same rugged ledge year after year. Eagles teach their young how to fly. No greater emblem could have been chosen to represent America than the eagle. America is the greatest nation on earth. Yet, in the natural, even the strongest eagle experiences a time late in its life when it must experience renewal. During this period of renewal, the eagle
