The Name Bush in Hebrew The name Bush consists of three Hebrew letters: beit, vav, and shin. As mentioned earlier, each Hebrew letter has a numerical value as well as a symbolic meaning. For example, the first letter alef has a number value of one, and its symbol is an ox. This is because the earliest form of this letter looked similar to the head of an ox. The second letter in the Hebrew alphabet is the letter beit. Its numerical value is two and its symbol is a house. The three Hebrew letters comprising Bush's name are: B—beit—which is symbolized by a house U—vav—which is symbolized a hook SH—shin—which is symbolized by teeth, and is also the symbol of the name of God, Shaddai
