research, I am aware of the importance of the Hebrew alphabet and the meaning of its coinciding numbers. Some people misunderstand this concept and consider it to be based on the occult. In reality, the Bible is filled with numbers and each number carries a specific meaning. The number three always means unity , the number six always means man or mankind , and the number seven always means completion or perfection . My research uses the numbers in the Bible to identify and explain patterns. The Hebrew alphabet is unique because its letters are interchangeable with numbers. Each of the twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet corresponds to a number. Because of this, letters can have dual meanings ( See Hebrew chart Page 241 ). Upon converting letters into numbers, we discover that they can point to prophetic dates. For example, the seven Feasts of Israel have both a literal and a prophetic fulfillment. Many of America's major historical events have fallen on dates that coincide with the Feasts of Israel. I call these prophetic parallels. They occur when recent events fall on the same dates, or cycle of years, on which previous events have fallen. For example, both Jewish temples were destroyed over 670 years apart but on the same day of the year—the 9 th of Av. Though separated by many years, the fact that these two events occurred on the same calendar date is considered to be a prophetic parallel. Because Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.) were not used in antiquity, many alphabet letters doubled as alpha and numeric characters. The Hebrew alphabet is one such set of letters.
